Acquiring a Vietnam e-visa for Indians is a fast and straightforward process that enables Indian citizens to apply for a e-visa before traveling. The Vietnam e-visa can be used for tourism purposes and allows visitors to stay in Vietnam up to 30 days. It’s important to note that this e-visa is a single entry only.

Vietnam e-visa requirements for Indians

On the other hand, it is not as easy to get a Visa on Arrival as it is getting an e-Visa, as Visa on Arrival are only available in 5 main airports in Vietnam and you must apply online for the visa approval letter beforehand then able to queue for picking up visa on arrival at the airport. The paperwork is also more lengthy and you must complete it at the border. If you don’t have time to linger at the airport, this option might not be good for you.

In order to apply for a Visa on Arrival, travelers must:

  • Print the Approval Letter document prior to traveling
  • Provide 2 passport photos
  • Pay for the visa with an additional stamping fee in either USD of Vietnamese Dong
